I want to thank everyone for reading or supporting this ministry with your encouraging comments. God has been good to our family here at Empowered Christian Women, and he taking this movment to another level.

I am excited that God has planted many gifts inside of me, and I am utilizing every gift. It is amazing What God can do in your life!

I was totally and spiritually transformed last year 2010, when GOD showed our immediate family how he will bless you even when you do not see it coming. I always get chills thinking about what God did in our lives last year.

God will place people in your path that will share miracles, which they did not even know they were being instructed by God to help us.

If you have any doubt about what God will do, just stop reading this right now, and pull out a tablet and starting writing down everything you done on your own. You will probably be surpised that your pages maybe blank. And then start writing down what God has done in your LIFE, and I will guarantee that you will have a full page or pages of what God has done!

There have been so many blessings that God has pour out our way, but one great blessing is that we were able to sell our home in St. Louis, Missouri in a DEPRESSED RECESSION, and God enabled us to find another beautiful home back in Dallas Texas.

I am excited to be living back in Texas, and since being back I have been so active in Church.

But I love taking the time out of my schedule to thank those that makes time to stops by and are able to enjoy some of things I have posted here on my blog.
Now there is more to my testimony and I won't be able to post here, but it had a powerful ending!

Evelyn Jackson’s journey started when she was involved in a tractor trailer accident that left her totally bedridden for two years. She learned early on that the corporate world don't support or take care of their own. Evelyn worked in the corporate world for over fifteen years as a supervisor and was fired me because she was no longer able to walk... That's when she realized that having your own business is the only way to go.

The first thing she had to do was find a business that she could do from her bed, which lead her to Avon Products. Evelyn knew how to work the MLM business because she had won the use of a FREE Mary Kay car for a few years. She worked her Avon business from her bed, while her daughter was her legs... Evelyn worked the phone and her daughter did the deliveries with her mom. Evelyn became the first African American Executive in her district; she won two FREE cruises to the Bahamas, which she was able to attend while walking with a cane; she won numerous trophies and monetary gifts. Evelyn was also number one in the entire Destiny Region for Leadership growth, which she have over two hundred people on her team.

It is in her heart to help people grow and to work with the less fortunate. Evelyn has been the Philadelphia Block Captain for over twelve years, which gives her plenty of struggling and learning skills.

Evelyn has helped so many people start their own businesses and a few clients said she should start charging a fee for her services. This gave her a wonderful idea, and this is how D.S.B.G came to life. Evelyn’s first official client, which she is a Co-owner, is Pastry Divas... In Ten months Pastry Divas sold over Three hundred tier/3D cakes. Pastry Divas also sold over a thousand cupcakes and donated over two thousand cupcakes to various organizations. She took Pastry Divas from having no money, to making over $30,000 dollars in ten months.

Evelyn has helped many Micro-small businesses (2 or less owners) become successful, that she has been asked to write articles, and her company has been featured in various Blogs. And she has been given membership to various organizations.

Evelyn’s recent accomplishment is her new Marketing Book... The Divalyn Pleasure Guide to Marketing Your Micro-Small Business. Evelyn named it this way because she wanted you to treat your business as something you love... Evelyn's chapters are unique, but it's all about growing your business. She loves what she does, and wanted to share it in this book. Evelyn states "she is different and it shows in her book and in her marketing style."

Evelyn recently accepted the responsibility of being Chief Marketing Director for a fast and upcoming organization called EUSA. (Teens &Youths) this will be a bi-monthly publication in which will promote youths that are walking in their ministry and reaching out to others. This publication is targeted to towards the youths in hopes of touching other youths and letting them know. They do not have to be embarrassed to go the opposite direction the crowd is going. Or it’s okay to be you and not like someone else. And most of all never feel embarrass to praise God or even talk about him to others.

There is great scripture that states "Weeping may endure for the night, but JOY cometh in the morning." Psalms 30:5

Then when you need encouragment, some may seek it from friends, family, or the pastor. But a person must do as David did, he encourage himself. The bible stated "And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God." I Samuel 30:6

No matter how much distressed, grieve or misery a person experience. Remember to just speak life back into yourself by Encouraging yourself.

Give God the glory and the praise!

I wanted to plant a spiritual praise in your heart today. Because in the last months God has show he is true to his word.

God worked out so many crises in our families life that I had to share his of Goodness and Mercy!

Just think upon the Lord and he will "renew your strength". "Wait upon the Lord" today, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Prayer Is Needed

Greetings to Everyone,

How many of you have lost your jobs, home in foreclosure, in the wake of this economic crises, or feel some what distress? It not easy going it alone, so let's get on one accord post your prayer request today! Let others know so we could pray for your needs.

I personally want you to pray for our family. I lost my job on yesterday 3/20/09, but I know my God is able! Yes, I'm human, I wasn't mad, but just a bit sadden that it happened! However, I was lifted spiritually, on yesterday evening, my husband came in with food from his job, and after doing an interview this afternoon at Empowered Christian Women Talk Show , my guest Sherri Keys, song a beautiful song on the show that started my tears to flowing. I wasn't trying to plug the show, but I just wanted to let you where one or two are gathered in my Jesus name, God will show up to comfort your soul.

As I was typing a scripture fell into my spirit for you, some of you may feel so overwhelmed in this economy:

"I have been young and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread". Psalms 37:25 (So, don't fret... just remember what David stated

And here another scripture that really snapped me back to "Trust in GOD"!

"Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have; for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee"! Hebrew 13:5

Christian Fasting

Christian Fasting - What's it all about?

Fasting is a practice that has been observed since the beginning of recorded history. One of the places we find records of early peoples fasting is in the Christian Bible. In fact, one of the very first recorded occurrences of a fast can be found in the book of Genesis in the Old Testament of the Christian Bible. Here it is recorded that while Moses was on the mountain receiving the Ten Commandments from God, he fasted for 40 days.

While there are many Biblical references to Christian fasting, Christians have no set rules or times for fasting as the Muslims do. Probably the most structured time of fasting is found in religions, such as Catholicism, where Lent is observed. During this time worshippers choose one thing in their lives to fast from. This can be a type of food, such as coffee or chocolate, or an activity, like watching television. This action of giving up a favorite thing is supposed to remind the worshipper of the sacrifice of Christ. Participation in Lent, however, is not mandatory for any member of the Christian religion.

Since there are no set in stone Christian fasting rules we can only follow the examples of fasting Jesus set for us in the Bible:

“When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show men they are fasting…But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to men that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” Matthew 6:16-18 NIV

Since Jesus does make this mention of fasting in His Sermon on the Mount, it is clear that fasting is an accepted practice. In fact, there is a record that Jesus Himself fasted for 40 days in the wilderness before He began His public ministry. By the above passage, Christians also infer that God does not respect fasting done only as a show. In order to fast properly and in a way that will bring glory to God and not ourselves, we must not make a show of our fasting.

In his article "Is Fasting a Christian Duty?", W. Frank Walton contends that Christian fasting came about much like the practices of foot washing and the holy kiss. “They (these practices) all originated in culture, not divine revelation, as a cultural way to express an underlying principle,” states Walton. He goes on to add that fasting is not commanded for Christians as a binding obligation, but rather a way to express their sorrow for wrongs done and the depth of their repentance.

Another way Christians use fasting is in connection with prayer to deepen their relationship with God. Many people find they can use the time they would have spent preparing and eating their food in prayer instead. They also believe this time of fasting heightens their awareness of their spiritual self and causes them to be more in tune with the Holy Spirit.
Unlike Muslim fasting, there are no set rules for Christian fasting. Christians infer from scripture that fasting is an accepted practice and that it should not be done in show, but in a true desire to grow spiritually.

O Clap Your Hands

How often have you clapped your hands? Have you ever listen to the thunderous volume your hands can make? Do you believe that your hands are an instrument for GOD? I certainly do! I want you to just stop right now, and start clapping! Did you hear the powerful sound from your hands?

God has equipped you with your own personal instrument to praise him. I have even notice toddlers in church services so fascinated when they start clapping their hand; they get so excited! It is almost as if their trying to figure out where the sound is coming from.

At the next church service start listening to the thunderous applause, when the congregation is applauding. I am always amazed at what our GOD has given us to worship and magnify his name with.

I was so touch with two scriptures that reads:

"O Clap your hands, all ye people, shout unto God with the voice of Triumph"! Psalm 47:1 KJV ( We are to clap our hands people! So CLAP!)

"Let the floods clap their hands: Let the Hills be joyful together". Psalm 98:8 KJV (Just imagine when sailors are out on the sea, and waves start clashing the sound could be deafening, but the waves are clapping!)

Our God has gifted your hands for a reason, and that is to clap them and praise him! Could you imagine how God is feeling, when the people he created is using the instrument to edify him!

So the next time when you are in the House of Prayer, make sure you are clapping your hands, and then "SHOUT unto GOD with The Voice of Truimph!

Love Is In The Air!

Today is a day that couples are showing their love for one another, on this day called Valentine. On my way home this afternoon, I glanced over into a vehicle on the highway; there was a gentleman struggling to drive, and hold a beautiful array of roses for someone. I thought someone was going to showered with some beautiful flowers today! So don't let this day go by without showing some love to the one you love!
And remember JESUS loves YOU! Why? Because the bible tells us so! (I bet you remember singing this song in children's Sunday School class)....But it is true Jesus loves YOU!

Tribute To Andrew Thomas

I have witnessed in my lifetime some memorable tragedies. I remember quite vividly the April 1995 bombing in Oklahoma City. I was on my job as a Claims Adjuster at the time, when the building shook; only to find out that the Murrah Alfred Building was blown up. Then that awful fate of September 11, 2001, I was at work witnessing this event on television. I sure thought our world was over! Then in December 2004 the Tsunmai, and the New Orlean Hurricane "Katrina"...

However, the most memorable tragedy occurred March 2005, was when I received a call from my sister, screaming in horror that our 13th year old nephew is dead. I could not do nothing but cry out to God! All that I could remember saying is "OH God", OH God"! I have not being able to talk about that year until now. Our family is approaching the month of March of his passing, and the last memory I had of my nephew was when him and my sister-in-law were leaving to go home. I was just preparing to return home for Dallas Texas (I had just recently moved to Texas). All the kids were on spring break, my son and I decided to spend some time in Oklahoma City, not knowing that would be the last time I see my nephew. My last words to him were "you better put on a coat, it was still a chill in the air! I don't want to see you catch a cold".

You may have notice in my profile, that I mentioned the year of 2005, this is when I birthed Empowered Christian Women. After attending the funeral of my nephew and listening to all the activities, and plays he was involved in school. It made me realize his talent stopped the moment life left his precious body. And here I was burying my gifts that God had placed inside of me! But my nephews death was my turning point to help others. I could not figure out how, or what I need to do to help others. So I started blogging, and over time I healed, and our my family healed! Death comes so quickly and it is painful, but there is good that comes from so much hurt and pain. It allows us to share stories that would strengthen an individual, it allows individuals to revaluate their life. And for some to view the world in a different lens.

So I dedicate this passage to him, even though he has passed on! My nephews memory still live on in my heart.

RIP Andrew Thomas, and all the many people that have lost their lives though some tragic fate!

I was a shy person in the past, and probably would never have ask to be photograph with such a great Gospel Singing Personality as "Dottie People", But God changes a person on the inside, and give them boldness.

I was so delighted to have had the opportunity to take this picture, when she visited the church where I was attending. I must say I have watched this woman of God in the Gospel circuit, she has always impressed me with her classy style of dressing, with the flawless hair and makeup!

In Search of A Church Home

Are you in search of a church? Let me tell you, my husband's job transfer created a new environment for our family to get familiar with a new city, community, and new christian fellowship. And in our search, I was overwhelmed by how many churches were established, not only here in the current city our family moved too! But even in the previous city our family moved from.

Our family like to interact in a church family of structure, order and unity. So much prayer went into our journey to search for a church. I don't choose to look for a perfect church, but a church that worship the "Lord in Spirit and in Truth". Again, as I stated there are many, many churches, but you must try the spirit of the finding a church by the spirit. Remember always pray, and God will give you an answer to locating a church for yourself or your family.

The transitioning of locating to a new church can be some what of a challenge. But don't get in a hurry to settle for the first church you come across. Keep your prospects open, and visit many churches, until God give you a confirmation that you have found the right place where he wants you to be.

Our family have found a church, and we visited many churches, but kept being drawn back to the one we currently visit now. And each Sunday morning has brought more love, joy and happiness (something the minister spoke about today).

So on your quest for finding a church, we now ask God to direct you to the right place of worship. In his precious name Jesus Christ! Amen!

Times of Distress

I arose to a beautiful bright morning, the sun was shining and snow was every where. Though the night God blessed our city with snow and ice! However someone else did not see this day, or was unable to feel the warmth of the winter sun upon their face.

I was sadly disappointed when I reach over to turn on the television this morning, to hear about the weather, and the school closings. But to my amazement to hear that a family was found dead in their beautiful home. Apparently the couple was laid-off from their jobs recently. No doubt they were worrying about losing their job, home, vehicles, unemployment, paying their bills, making ends meet, and feeding their family. I will never know what the real reason was, for them taking their lives! But it was not worth the pain that they will put their families, friends, and the world though. My heart went out to the children, there were so many precious lives taken, and they did not have a choice in the matter. And it pains me to hear of such a tragic ending.

We are facing economic crises, job losses, and our government are trying to find solutions to ease the conscience mind of the nation. But the bible speak of times like this! So don't faint my brother or sister, and just put your trust in God! If you are feeling distress seek out God's word for comfort and release! And remember "This Too Shall Pass".

I had such an awesome conversation with a christian sister this evening! She had called to check up on my process since beginning Empowered Christian Women. After speaking with her I started thinking, how truly blessed that I am; to still be ministering via the internet.

I pray what you find here Encourage, Inspire, and Motivate you in 2009! Don't let what God has given you go to waste. God has planted a gift inside of everyone, that he might be glorified!

I want to THANK You, for just taking the time out to view this site, or the many other sites God has truly blessed me with!

And my prayer is for Peace in the Middle East, and our newly elected President Barack Obama, 1st Lady Michelle, and their two daughters. I pray for food in places where there is none! I pray for nations that have an opportunity to know Jesus Christ! I pray that your burdens are lifted while this nations goes though this economic crises.

We as a nation of people pay for our cars, clothes, food, and shelter you name it! But there is one thing that still remains FREE, and that is SALVATION! I wanted something encouraging, empowering, and spritually motivating to capture the title of this blog today! And I happen to remember the Luis Palau Association, our church supported and participated in the Evangelism Rally in Dallas, Texas in 2007.

I want to remind you that when you take your eyes off Jesus, that you may sink! Maybe that's what the nations has done, they've taken their eyes off of our Lord. Remember some people wanted the removal of "In God We Trust", and "One Nation Under God". Hum...think about it removing theses symbols of what our founding fathers established the United States of America on, sounds like taking our eyes off of Jesus!

Look at what the world is facing now! We are in a Global Financial Melt Down! It nothing new, we have been though these crisises many times, but as rumors floats around, that this Financial Crisis, would be the worse in history! However, I encourage you my sisters and brothers, to trust in the Lord with all your heart! Never taking your eyes off Jesus, remember when Peter was walking on water, and that the only reason he started sinking, is when he took his eyes off our Saviour! That could be you, but you know the word, and it will set you Free! Christians and sinners are understanding what is taking place in our nation.

I extend to you be strong in the Lord, and continue to pray! Never taking your EYES off JESUS!

I received a brown package in the mail on Friday! Even though it's not Christmas, and I was excited as a child to open the package. It was from a great friend Pam Sauer, her second written book "Extreme Transformation Temple-Editon". It is great study guide, and I am asking that if you are in a women ministry, or just formed a Christian Women's group, please plan to add this guide to your christian women studies. I just started my studies, and I will come back with the reviews, upon completion of the guide.

I am so excited for this great Empowered Christian Woman of God, Pam Sauer. She is truly and inspiration in my life. We meet in 2005, and being connecting spiritually every since. I pray blessings upon her new endeavors. I ask you to pray for this new book, so that it touches many women and men lives.

"Junk In The Trunk"

I had to post this video here as a reminder that we need to clean out our trunks! Thank you Bishop TD Jakes, for saying it so well! As we settled here in Missouri, we had a whole lot of cleaning out to do! Can you imagine what people carry around in their trunk on an everyday basis. Some people junk becomes to much for just a trunk, when the trunk gets too full they move their junk into storage sheds. I had to clean my trunk out, and I think this message from this video, will help you decide to clean out your trunk!

I thank God our family were able to attend Bishop TD Jakes church for eight years. The Potter's House Ministry, has equipped our family, for "Such A Time As This"! Bishop TD Jakes, spoke about "Repositioning Yourselves to Prosper", and God open doors, for our family to move to Missouri, due to our job losses in Texas. I did not think our family was going to be repositioned out of Texas (smile...)! However, I believed if our family had not gone though the ministry at The Potter's House. We would not have probably understood our move. Our family really miss attending the services in person, but with the internet we are still able to view the services online. May God continue to richly Bless Bishop TD Jakes & 1st Lady Serita Jakes!

Truly Your Steps Are Ordered By God

How many times have you felt like the steps you've made were not your steps? But you physically knew you made them yourself. But spiritually God was walking for you! Think about the great choices you've made many times, only to know that they were ordered by God! Have you ever missed a step? But God was right there to catch you when you fall! I think about "The Foot Print In the Sand" poem. You may have started out with extra foot prints, but in end Jesus see how weary and wounded you get, and he pick you up to carry you along the way!

This is especially for those that don't have a direction, or understand that your steps are truly ordered by God!

Extend your hands up to Jesus Christ, and confess with your mouth That "Jesus Christ is Your Lord and Saviour", and accept him today in your life.

I pray for those that are reading this right now, that they trust in God today! That if they are without a church home, that you direct them to a spiritual place in Jesus Christ I pray! And that they let you truly order their Steps! Amen!

I was touched by an interview that my deceased friend wife (Jamie), and his mother (Theresa) gave. These two women are truly Empowered Christian Women, it just give me strength to hear how though the Grace of God that they are able to cope with this matter through a spiritual eye. Are they still angry? Yes! I like what Matt's wife said she spoke to the demon inside these individuals, and "rebuted the devil in Jesus Name"! And she would speaks to human side to say that "they still have a chance to turn their life around".

I know it take a God to get anyone through such a horrific tragedy like this, and I pray God Grace upon this family every day! God has a way of bringing out the good some how! We maynot understand now what the good will be, but in due season God will reveal it.

Tribute To Matthew Butler @ Zion Gate Records

I did not know how to really start off saying this, but I was experiencing some anger, when I viewed the comments of a suspect giving an interview. About how the event of the crime, that had taken place, which had left two people dead in the street. I still tear up as I write this! I don't understand people, that go around hurting others, and don't even have a reason for doing what they do! After all the dust has settled, and when they are in their jail cells alone, then maybe God could work on the mind set of individuals that commit violence on others. The two that were killed, were two fine christian gentlemen. I had to ask God for strength, that surpasses all of my understanding in this matter.

I personally knew Matthew Butler, which was one of the victims killed. And my husband and son had just meet Steve Swan approximately 2 weeks before this incident. We attended the services of both the decease, and it was moving! The minister that delivered the message, was so elegant and graceful in his delivery. Matt was a good person, family man, and loving husband. We would be in the recording studio along with Matt, while my son and Matt worked on his recording project, and Matt would have great positive words to say to my son. Matt would alway say to my son, you need to network. And one of Matt's comments to him was "You Rock Man"! I will never forget his face and spirit, and Matt will be missed.....

Please keep his wife, children and Matt's mother in your prayers.

Year of the Rain

We received so much rain this year in Texas, the rivers are overflowing their banks! I have been living here in Texas for 7 years, and have never seen this much water before. There were families in their home in Gainesville, Texas, who was swept away due to the heavy unexpected flooding. People could be heard screaming for help, but no one could save them!

However, I hear other states are suffering from unusual heat, and no rain!

It seems as if the flood gates have been opened. But I pray for everyone's safety as we go though these changes in the weather.
